なぜ「broke」と過去形になっているのか不明、ボクの感覚からすれば、完了形の方がしっくりだが。
If it is not broken, do not fix it.
まあ、いかにも会話コトバのような雰囲気だし、慣用的にこう言うのだろう。
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
