映画の意訳
映画を見たとき、「should have armed himself (武装すべきだった)」を「それなりの覚悟を持つべきだ」と意訳されていたように記憶している。映画のストーリーがわかっていると、このシーンの凄みが身にしみる。
好きな映画
自分はどの映画が好きか？黒沢さんや小津安二郎さんといった映画が一番最初に心に浮かぶが、洋画となるとすぐにでてくるものがない。
ここ20年くらい、新作映画は、あまり観ていないので、自分の中で映画情報自体が少ない。そんな状況で、記憶に強く残っている映画がこの映画「Unforgiven」
西部劇を終わらせた映画
この映画は、それまでのウエスタン映画を終わらせるくらい新しかった。
というかそれまでのウエスタンが、あまりにもリアリティがなかった。
