学校嫌いのレイにとって、学校で唯一楽しかった思い出はディベイト。

欧米では、口達者でないと政治家もビジネス運営者も成功は厳しいが、レイは音楽と弁論の才能に恵まれていた。

この本は、レイが執筆したわけでなく、ディクテーションで書かれているが、話し方のうまさは充分に伝わってく。
