なかなか、現実的なことわざである。
何があるか、先のことはわからない。

英雄とか著名人とか、世間の評価が高い人は、大きなことができるので、大きな失敗や不祥事も起こしやすい。

死は、その人の過去の業績を確定するもっとも確実なイベント。

古代や中世のヨーロッパでは、実績があった人を讃えるために、殺してしまったという事例もあるようだ。
